The Mick has received generally mixed reviews from critics. Rotten Tomatoes shows a 58% “rotten” rating, with the site’s critical consensus reading: “Kaitlin Olson’s considerable charm isn’t enough to keep the intermittently funny The Mick from falling prey to conventional storylines and hard-to-root-for characters”. In similarity, Metacritic shows a 50 out of 100, indicating “mixed or average reviews”.
